Limanakia of Hersonissos is one of the most popular swimming spots for tourists in Crete.
It is located 26 km east of Heraklion, consists of a series of bays with white sand and turquoise waters. There are separate beaches, some popular, crowded and others offering a little more privacy.
They are really beautiful beaches with calm water because Cape Sarandaris protects them from the frequent northwest winds.
Access to all coves is easy and the surrounding area is well developed.
You will see numerous very small and narrow beaches, where the sand is combined with white rocks and the water color has beautiful light blue hues.
There is also a nudist beach well protected by high cliffs and prying eyes.
The busy town of Hersonissos is within walking distance.
